في خطوة هي الأولى من نوعها، وضمن خطة بلدية بيت لحم لإعادة إحياء وتطوير القطاع الصحي في المحافظة، بادر رئيس بلدية بيت لحم السيد ماهر قنواتي، وبمشاركة رئيس المجلس الاستشاري لتأهيل المستشفيات والقطاع الصحي السيد جمال الدرعاوي، وعدد من أعضاء المجلسين البلدي والاستشاري، بزيارة مستشفى الأمراض العقلية في المدينة.
وكان في استقبال الوفد الدكتور إبراهيم خميس، مدير المستشفى، حيث جرى خلال الزيارة استعراض المخططات الهندسية الخاصة بتطوير المستشفى، إضافة إلى جولة ميدانية شاملة لجميع مرافق وأراضي المستشفى، تمهيداً لاتخاذ خطوات عملية بعد الانتهاء من الدراسات والتجهيزات اللازمة.
وأكد رئيس بلدية بيت لحم خلال اللقاء أن أبناء المدينة يستحقون خدمات صحية نوعية تليق بهم، مشيراً إلى أن المبادرات القادمة ستشكل نقلة نوعية للقطاع الصحي في بيت لحم، لتكون المدينة منارةً لكل من يبحث عن الرعاية الصحية المتميزة.
???? وفي مفاجأة مرتقبة، كشف رئيس البلدية أن الخطوة القادمة، والتي سيُعلَن عنها في مؤتمر صحفي قريب، ستكون الإنجاز الأبرز والأقوى في تاريخ بلدية بيت لحم خلال العقود الأخيرة – محطة فاصلة ستُعيد رسم ملامح القطاع الصحي في المدينة، وتفتح آفاقاً جديدة من الأمل والخدمة النوعية
In a groundbreaking initiative and as part of the Municipality of Bethlehem’s strategic plan to revive and develop the healthcare sector in the governorate, Mr. Anton Salman, Mayor of Bethlehem, led a visit to the Mental Health Hospital. He was joined by Mr. Jamal Al-Dar’awi, Chairman of the Advisory Council for Hospital Rehabilitation and Healthcare Development, along with members of both the municipal and advisory councils.
The delegation was received by Dr. Ibrahim Khamees, Director of the Hospital. The visit included reviewing engineering plans for the hospital’s redevelopment, followed by a comprehensive field tour of all its facilities and surrounding lands, in preparation for practical implementation after finalizing necessary studies.
Mayor Salman affirmed that the people of Bethlehem deserve top-tier healthcare services, emphasizing that the upcoming initiatives will represent a qualitative leap for the health sector, positioning Bethlehem as a beacon for exceptional medical care.
