Stream cities bilateral meeting

Bethlehem.  On 25 April the Mayor of the town of Bethlehem, Victor Batarseh, and his functionaries Tony Marcos (General Director), Khalil Shokeh and Dina Nassar, received a delegation from Italy (composed by Davide Crimi, project manager of the StreamCities / Medpact project, Corrado Persico, general director in the Municipality of Catania, and Mirella Collerone, functionary).  Aim of the meeting was improving the cooperation process in Euro-Mediterranean policies.  The matter, very interesting and meaningful, focused on the oppurtunity to apply a common methodology in sharing informations and communication and to agree on technical solutions about the themes of the Stream's agenda.  The main issues was the recommendation to focus the cooperation policies on soustenable tourism and economic peace, especially in creating sharing and social involvements in the reasearch of common roots.  In the further meeting the Italian delegation had with the EU Commission Representative in Jerusalem, this approach was appreciated and validated in his methodology.  Therefore it's possible affirm today Stream Cities (where the Municipality of Bethlehem is leader for the MEDA area, which includes also the Municipality of Fez, Marocco, and El Mina, Lebanon) -  effectively is working as European project in cooperation and it allows to the whole system opportunities in open new chances in improving relational tourism based on common roots (especially of course in reason of the Nativity Complex), meetings and conferences (considering also the role of the International Peace Center), and economic peace as condition to improve quality of life, culture and dialogue in Bethelehem and its region, in an Euro-Mediterranean framework.
